Paddle Switch Tester leaves Birkenfeld

This rotary table consists electrical, optical and haptical measurements.

This automatic test station with integrated transport system was developed for a customer from the automotive sector. Electronic hand levers placed at the steering wheels of automobiles, so called paddle switches, are tested with this rotary table.

The test process of this system includes not only the electronically supported current and circuit measurements but also optical and haptical tests. Via high-resolution camera systems and MCD's imaging software Toolmonitor Vision, inserted DUTs are tested for luminance, LED color, illumination and quality of symbols. Switching points and resistances are measured by a haptical test station, consisting of a linear motor, sensors and a haptic finger. Acquired measurement values are documented thereafter.
