Toolmonitor SerIO

Toolmonitor SerIO serves to control and visualize MCD products, for example the control units PIC8IO or MIO1616, as well as subordinate devices.

All these devices are addressed by the SerIO protocol, which has been standardized by MCD Elektronik. This offers the possibility to control digital and analog inputs and outputs or to send and receive freely definable or stored telegrams. With a logging function received data can be grabbed, sequenced or secured.

The program interface can largely be designed with an open hand and customized to the users' requirements. Once created, configurations can be saved in project files and loaded as needed. All telegrams can be sent and received automatically with the help of an integrated script engine. Asynchonous processes can be stored in the Toolmonitor, which can also be entirely remote contolled using third-party software.

COM/DCOM or .Net-Assembly is used as an interface. This allows the Toolmonitor SerIO to be integrated in a large number of applications (Microsoft Visual Studio^® (C#, C++, Visual Basic), Microsoft Office^® (e.g. Excel^®), Open Office^®, LabView^®, MCD TestManager CE).
