Five students spent an interesting day at MCD Elektronik.

The project "ProBeruf - career guidance at secondary schools" (shortly "ProBerufGym") by Steinbeis Innovation Center was launched in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in order to reduce the drop-out rate in training professions in Baden-Württemberg. By visiting training facilities such as MCD Elektronik and meeting role models in these companies, students have the opportunity to deal with the subject career and training at an early stage.

MCD is pleased to support this project and welcomed five students of the Kepler-Gymnasium (High School) in Pforzheim yesterday. This was an exciting day, which was initiated by CFO Petra Noske-Mahseredjian. At the beginning the inquisitive guests received information about training and studying at MCD and learned a lot about the testing and measuring technology during a company tour with software specialist Marcel Bräuninger. The morning ended with challenging business games about teamwork in a company and a short application training. The students spent the afternoon in the job profiles they had chosen and gained first-hand insight into the development, IT, administration, purchasing and order processing departments. They were accompanied by former trainees/students from MCD, who assume responsibility in various areas today. For example, software engineer Tim Retzlaff developed (together with the guests) a WiFi-capable weather station with an integrated temperature and humidity sensor. Luisa Haug, a former trainee and now employee in the purchasing department, gave insight into administrative activities and the different processes.

MCD would like to thank all participants and the organizers for this informative day. The whole team is pleased that once again young people have enthusiastically explored the world of testing technology and ended the day at MCD with really happy faces.
