A reliable battery management system is important to control, save and monitor the battery usage of electro vehicles. For testing these electronic components at the end of the manufacturing process, an End-of-Line test system was developed and delivered by MCD to a german customer.
Amongst others, the test system carries power and current calibrations, reaction tests with overpower and overcurrent tasks and control of XCP and LIN communication. Three DUTs are simultaneously contacted by the 19-inch rack inside an automated manufacturing line and provided with corresponding current, power and loads. An error-free switching between various battery packs, a constant charging as well as the shutdown function in security relevant situations is guaranteed by the EOL tests.
