MCD Encourages Young Professionals of Tomorrow

MCD promotes young professionals of tomorrow through cooperations

Birkenfeld, February 1st 2011: Technical research areas urgently need young talent. This is exactly the goal of the vocational gGmbH (BBQ) and the engineering student academy (SIA). In cooperation with the institutions, MCD promotes young professionals of tomorrow. Students of the Kepler Gymnasium in Pforzheim had the opportunity to immerse into the World of Measurement Technology for 2 days. After a welcoming and introduction to MCD through managing director Bruno Hoerter, trainees of MCD presented the upcoming project tasks, which they had previously worked and planned together.
First, the students were familiarized with the software to analyze and generate analog and digital signals in the radio field, the AudioAnalyzer. As measuring equipment the students used a sound card which first they had to calibrate. Test sounds were generated and stored.  Finally, the measurements were carried out with the AudioAnalyzer and automated with another software, the TestManager CE. The students of the Kepler Gymnasium were thrilled over the results. Although they found that technology does not always work the first time, but the feeling of success is greater then.
Not only the students enjoyed these two project days.  The MCD apprentices were busy and managed the complete organization of the project days under the supervision of their instructor and authorized representative Petra Noske-Mahseredjian and the technical director Benno Pascalin.
