Following the successes of the two last years, the top-class jury of the innovation competition TOP 100 was not able to avoid the honoration of the MCD Elektronik GmbH as a top innovator in 2020.
In the independent and scientific selection process of the compamedia GmbH, the innovative strength of medium-sized companies in different size classes has already been selected for the 27th time. The participating companies are evaluated with the help of approximately 120 parameters in the areas of innovation promotion, innovation climate, innovative processes and services as well as external orientation (open innovation).
MCD Elektronik GmbH gladly accepted the challenge of defending its title again highly motivated in 2020 and was able to pass it with the optimum result of an "A+" as in 2019. The test specialist even managed to improve the already excellent results in the fields of "innovation climate" and "innovation promoting top management". The highest result increase was about "innovative processes and services", where MCD was able to gain about 18 points. This underlines the permanent aspiration for optimization that CEO Bruno Hörter commented as follows: "There should not be fears about a change process, but it is necessary to understand it as an opportunity. The joy of work and freedom to experiment are the most important components for the development of market-ready ideas".
Due to the spreading of the corona virus it was unfortunately not possible to present the popular trophy in the context of the "Deutscher Mittelstand-Summit" (6th Summit for German SMEs) because that was already cancelled at the end of March. The host organization compamedia GmbH went to great lengths to support and honour their top innovators. TOP 100 mentor and science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar, who normally shares the awards, therefore delivered his congratulations via digital video message:

The trophy has already been set up at the headquarters of the test specialist, the team is proud of its joint achievements in innovation and delighted to receive this award. The management would like to thank all employees for their commitment in making such an award possible.
