Toolmonitor PLC

MCD Toolmonitor PLC standardizes various communication protocols that are necessary for using a programmable logic controller (PLC). That ensures an easy and efficient control of an installed PLC system. Extensive programming effort for any task modification of the PLC is a thing of the past.

MCD's in-house developed communication protocol supports that the Toolmonitor can be used in the same way in different applications. Therefore, an individual and wide range of adjustments for the PLC tasks are possible.

In connection to a compatible programmable logic controller (PLC), the Toolmonitor PLC is able to take control of safety-relevant mechanical controls, for example, the functionality of an emergency stop switch. Digital controls can also be implemented by the Toolmonitor PLC. We support controllers from Siemens, Beckhoff, and Allen Bradley / Rockwell.

Features:

  • 64 inputs
  • 64 virtual inputs
  • 64 outputs
  • 64 virtual outputs
  • Transmission and reading out of data blocks at defined addresses
  • Setting and reading of the current state of the PLC

For third-party software, the Toolmonitor can be fully remote controlled. COM/DCOM or .Net-Assembly is used as an interface. This allows the integration in a large number of applications (Microsoft Visual Studio® (C#, C++, Visual Basic), Microsoft Office® (e.g. Excel®), Open Office®, LabView® and especially MCD TestManager CE).
