Using strain gauges or short DMS (Dehnungsmessstreifen) and a data acquisition system, MCD Elektronik can monitor and validate the endurance of a test item during a contacting process. For this purpose, the strain gauge sensors are placed on prominent positions on the board and thus the measured deflection of the board is measured, stored, and documented with a high-speed data logger in real time during contacting in the X and Y direction. The deflection of the contacted board must be clearly less than 1 mm on all critical points of the board.
The board to be tested and its assembly can thus be protected against consequential damage due to excessive bending in the manufacturing process, as well as by inadmissible forces during the adaptation and contacting in the test environment.
