We are supplying a large American automobile supplier with an End-of-Line tester for steering wheel modules. The test items are at first pre-tensioned mechanically with a force of 800N, in order to replicate the installation setting inside the vehicle. All levers and buttons on the steering wheel (available in more than 100 varieties)are tested manually for proper functionality. Using the test stand we know the sequential order of testing. The activation of the steering wheel module takes place through CAN-BUS and LIN-BUS interface.
The test stand is integrated into a PPS system and test results from the test stand are communicated to an overall server.
