The LVDS Switch Analyzer was developed as part of a test system. With the Analyzer, the digital color information of any line within a video image can be recorded and evaluated. In addition, a 2-wire LVDS signal from one of four inputs is deserialized and the information retained is then recorded. The signal of the same or a different input can be forwarded to the LVDS output and from there, for example, transferred on to a reference display.
Features:
- 5V power supply via the USB port
- Control and data transfer via USB 2.0
- Use of diagnostic functions of LVDS switch and Deserialiser as:
- Recognition of an existing LVDS signal to the individual inputs
- Recognition of an existing connection (Lock-signal) at the LVDS Deserialiser
- Use of Pre-Emphasis on the LVDS output and the equalizer on the LVDS inputs
- Self-Test (BIST) in accord with the sending Serialiser
- LVDS switch and Deserialiser via USB can be turned on and off during other special sensitive testing procedures.
LVDS input:
- 4 LVDS inputs are available
- Deserialization of one of the LVDS data streams (selectable) with DS90UR906Q from National Semiconductor
- Optical signal for existing signal at Deserialiser (LOCK)
- Demapping of the received video data stream into RGB data, HSYNC, VSYNC and DATA ENABLE
- Measurement of the geometry of image acquisition by means of HSYNC, VSYNC, pixel clock and DATA ENABLE
- Measurement of the pixel clock frequency and the status and duration of the synchronization signals (VSYNC, HSYNC, ENABLE DATA)
- Recording of a video line in full resolution at up to 2047 pixels
- RGB color resolution up to 24 bits
- Recording of a still image is possible by multiple line scanning
- Reducing the resolution to increase the measurement speed is possible
LVDS output:
- Feed through of one of the four LVDS input signals to the LVDS output
- Visual indication for existing signal at the output (OUT EN)
