MCD 'End-of-Line' Test System for Ventilation Controls

Testing procedure:

The device is placed in a designated drawer by the operator. The housing cover is then aligned and pushed into the test system. When inserted, a 2D bar code scanner registers and identifies the device. After insertion, the test stationchecks whether or not the cover is present and in the correct position. A force-displacement measurement then takes place to make sure the housing cover is secured. The locking capability of the eight security clips is also monitored. A density test runs parallel to and independent of thetesting sequence.
This has the advantage of providing shorter, more efficient testing intervals. Here, the function of the pressure-equalizing membrane through targeted fan control and subsequent ventilation is tested. Upon completion of the functionality test, the sample is automatically labeled as a 'pass‘ or 'fail'. Two different device variations can be tested, and the testing processcycle is automatically set to last 45 seconds by test software TestManager CE.
