The encouraging growth of our business has meant that the space in the offices and manufacturing sites has diminished. So we sat down at the beginning of 2011 and decided to break ground with a new headquarters site in Birkenfeld.
On 28.02.2011 it was finally over. After countless votes, amendments and discussions with the community about granting permission for planning, finally the first steps by CEO Bruno Hoerter and partner Gerda Treiber took place on the MCD building site. This allowed two events to be celebrated. First, MCD was the first company that began building in the new industrial park, the ‘Dammfeld’ area in Birkenfeld, and second, it was the first construction project MCD has ever had in these dimensions.
A new center for our customers, our team and the company was our vision. Due to the commercial construction company Schumacher, after only nine months it had become reality and we were ready to move.
A 2,000 m² area now offers us plenty of roomfor growth, ideas and developments.
