Automatic conveyor belt with testing cell

This MCD test system examines dispatch boxes for automotive mirror-casings.

To ensure the complete and correct mounting of dispatch boxes for automotive mirror-casings, this fully automatic conveyor belt system was developed. This optical test system consists of a seven meter long conveyor belt, two lifting tables and a testing cell with triangulation sensors and clamping cylinders.

The testing sequences is initiated after manually scanning of barcodes on the dispatch boxes. Control values, like batch size or the mirror-casing kind, are transmitted to the testing software TestManager CE as a target stock.

The opened dispatch boxes are transported to the testing cell by the conveyor belt, where sensors and cylinders perform distance measurements and testing of differences in altitude of the mounted automotive mirror-casings. In case of a "Fail" analysis of the received signals, the conveying path is interrupted by pneumatic stopper cylinders and the dispatch box has to be removed manually. Successfully approved dispatch boxes are transported to the end of the conveyor belt and automatically marked by a shipping label.
